Q. Is there a fee for the initial in-house visit to assess the proposed sale?
A. No. We offer a free consultation to come to your home and assess your contents.
Q. Should I take items that I do not think will sell to a charitable organization prior to the sale?
A. No. Many people think some items are “junk” or not salable. Items such as cleaning supplies, broken tools, baskets, clothing, toys, hardware, old electronics and cameras etc., can be a treasure to a collector. Please refrain from disposing of any items prior to the sale.
Q. Should I go through all the cupboard and drawers and empty them out?
A. No. Sell My Treasures’ staff will go through all cupboards, drawers and closets to sort items accordingly. All personal items found will be put aside and given to the client.
Q. Family members would like to take items from the home. Should we leave them in the home during the sale?
A. If possible, we ask you to remove these items from the home prior to the sale. If this is not possible, we will stow or separate these items and pin "NOT FOR SALE" signs on them.
Q. Do I need to rent tables, clothing racks, display cases or lighting?
A. We will supply lighting, tables, clothing racks, and cases to display all merchandise.
Q. What happens to merchandise that does not sell during the sale?
A. We do light packing of any unsold items. We organize pick up of items to be donated to charitable organizations and we organize disposal for the trash.
